Ashley’s love of dogs stems from a young age. Having grown up in a household full of four-legged companions, it’s really no surprise that she ended up as the founder of K9 Fit. In 2014, she began volunteering with local rescues. Passionate about animal welfare, her philanthropic work soon blossomed into a full-fledged desire to do more. Her professional life propelled her even further into the animal industry as she became an attendant at a local doggy daycare and a manager at a local pet store. While she was happy in her position, Ashley felt called to start her own business. After a great deal of planning she launched K9 Fit, and hasn’t looked back since. She obtained a certificate in Pet Nutrition Training from UC Davis, and Pet First Aid from Walks an’ Wags. Ashley is dedicated to working with dogs as individuals, and excels at creating customized plans and activities to suit their needs. She’s able to easily recognize signs of distress, fear, and anxiety in dogs, and uses this gift to calm and reassure them. She takes great joy in helping dogs of all breeds, ages, temperaments and abilities build courage, overcome both physical and mental obstacles, and have fun! Above all, Ashley is a proud, dedicated dog mom to her own furry family members, and every single foster animal that comes into their lives.
